Super Senior Team Weekend Tournament To Be Held August 27-28

The USTA Super Senior Team Tournament is scheduled for the last weekend in August.  Players 60 and over are eligible to play on a team in 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0 division for both ladies and men.  Team matches will consist of 3 lines of doubles matches.  The local league winners will advance to Sectionals at John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels on November 11-13.  Each team must consist of at least 6 members and no more than 9.  Teams playing 7.0 must have at least two teams in their division to advance.  For the other divisions, if only one team signs up, they will advance automatically.  If a league is held, the team fee will be $75 per team and $8 per player on TennisLink.  If teams advance without playing, the cost will be $20 per team with the $8 TennisLink fee per player.  The deadline for team entries is Sunday, August 21st.  To obtain a team number, contact Scott Anderson at 361-242-5350 or 361-215-4470.
