CCTA Junior Scholarships

The CCTA is proud to sponsor four annual $1000 scholarships for deserving area high school seniors involved in tennis. Applicants will need to provide a letter describing the reasons he or she deserves consideration; a copy of his/her high school transcript; two letters of recommendation from coaches, teachers, counselors or employers; and a list of extracurricular activities. Any volunteer work performed for the CCTA also weighs in an applicant’s favor.

The four scholarships are: 1) Woods Mathews Award (Outstanding Boy), 2) Yvonne Canine Award (Outstanding Girl), 3) B. H. Casey Award, and 4) John Beckman Award.

The deadline for submission is April 29, 2012. Check with your coach or counselor for a form. Please mail or drop off the completed packet at the CCTA office at the HEB Tennis Center, 1520 Shely Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78404. Call 361-888-4782 with any questions.
