Beginner Kids’s Tennis Events for November and December
The holiday season is usually a slow time for tennis players, but we have several CCTA opportunities for kids to continue playing through November and December. See the list below and choose some events to help your child advance in tennis!
Holiday Hot Shots in Flour Bluff and at the Lakes: This is a continuation of the programs for the kids already signed up in these programs. The cost is $40 for 4 weeks. See the payment box to the right and get them signed up as soon as possible!
HEB Hot Shots Tennis League: HEB Tennis Center is offering a supervised play tennis league for beginners, 8 to 12 years old. This will give the kids an opportunity to learn how to call lines and keep score. The cost is $10 total for three Wednesday nights in November (2nd, 9th, 16th) from 5:30-7:00 pm. Sign up at HEB Tennis Center or call 882-6013 to sign up.
Hot Shots Play Days: November 6th and December 4th 2 to 4 pm at HEB Tennis Center. If your child played in any of the fall Hot Shots programs, the November 6th PlayDay is part of your program. The December 4th one will be $5 per child. Kids will learn to start points and keep score, while having fun in a low competition format. There will be lots of tennis for everyone! Click PlayDay Registration to go to a sign up sheet to make sure your child is registered. There will be no walk ups–you must sign up prior to attending!
We would like to thank everyone for their support of our Hot Shots programs. We had over 200 participants this fall and with our great instructors, parents and players, we hope to see all of these kids continue in tennis and advance their games. Please continue to monitor our website and Corpus Christi Tennis Association Facebook page for upcoming events. There will be lots of chances to play throughout the winter months and we are planning March 26, 2017 as our next HotShot kickoff. Also, we encourage you to contact the tennis facilities and tennis professionals throughout Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas for more instruction opportunities for your child.
