Dear Tennis Enthusiast,
We have all witnessed 2020 play havoc with so many aspects of our lives. Tennis was no different and was virtually shut down a good portion of the Spring and Summer. This affected many tournaments, leagues and programs that are essential to the CCTA in both function and funding. At the end of every year we have held a fundraiser at the Corpus Christi Country Club, but due to circumstances and restrictions, we will not be able to hold an indoor function this year. While 2020 has forced us to re-evaluate, pivot, and change many things, we are looking forward to this OPPORTUNITY to try something new to raise funds for the coming year. College scholarships, grass roots and diversity programming, tournament entry fee support, advocacy and the promotion of leagues and tournaments for youth, adults and seniors are a few of the programs supported and implemented by your CCTA.
2020 is the year everything changed and so must our Year End Fundraiser. On Saturday, December 5th we will be holding a fun, non-elimination doubles tournament to help us raise money. Since 2020 was Zero fun, we will focus on Fun while we raise funds! Music, prizes, raffles, a food truck, and more will help make this So Much More than a simple tournament.
We are looking for Sponsors for not only this event but for programming all year round. We know that this year has changed things for many businesses, so we have changed sponsorship opportunities to fit all levels of giving abilities. All proceeds from the tournament and sponsorship will go towards scholarships and programming. Our Fundraising Goal This Year to Kick 2020 to the Curb is $20,000. With your help, we can do this! The more we raise, the more college scholarships we can give out and programs we can fund!
